Twitter Squashes Embedded DOS Games

Recently, it was discovered that the non-profit organization Internet Archive offered fans and followers the chance to play their library of MS-DOS games directly through tweets. A simple URL would embed the game directly into your tweet and give people that follow you the option to play. Twitter pulled the plug.

What can fans do? Continue to support Internet Archive by playing their games. URLs will link to the site and take your friends to the gaming experience instead of vice versa. Maybe someday, Twitter will adjust or amend their terms. Until then, play on.
