What a sad day. Reports are flying out that Tom Hardy has departed the upcoming film ‘Suicide Squad,’ which is slated for a 2016 release. The original report from The Hollywood Reporter, states that the reason the actor left is due to scheduling.
The actor is currently filming ‘The Revenant’ and filming is supposedly taking longer than expected. Latino Review, however, is claiming the actor left because he was unhappy with the script and the scheduling “issue” was a front to be able to leave amicably with the studio. Out of the two sources, Hollywood Reporter is the much more credible with Latino Review being correct once in a blue moon (not unlike a certain hipster run site we’re, sadly, all familiar with).
According to a THIRD source Jake Gyllenhaal is eyed to replace Tom Hardy. There is obviously lots of confusion, and nothing is officially confirmed at the moment. We will have to wait and see what Warner Bros has to say and, as always, we will keep you updated.
