Sam Mendes, the director of the upcoming Bond movie, announced the twenty-fourth installment of the beloved franchise. The film will be titled ‘Spectre.’ Shooting for the film begins Monday with a release being aimed at late 2015.
Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as agent 007. Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw will be also be reprising their roles from 2012’s “Skyfall.” The film will be adding new faces, among them are Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux, Andrew Scott and Dave Bautista.
Mendes all but confirmed the title was a reference to the SPECTRE terror group appearing in Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels and the previous films:
“Those of you who have some knowledge of the Bond franchise and the legend of Bond will probably have some idea of what that refers to, but I couldn’t possibly comment,” Mendes said.
And, of course, the new film will feature a new car.
