This is worse than coal in your stocking. A man from Denver (Igor Baksht) purchased a Playstation 4 from Walmart and was extremely surprised when he discovered the contents. The console had been replaced with rocks.
Igor decided to check the contents before wrapping it, “Just to make sure everything was inside, that all the contents were inside, all the games were inside,” said Baksht. “When I opened it, I said, ‘Oh my God.’
By that time the Walmart he had purchased the console had been closed and was forced to visit a nearby 24 hour store. The store however refused to refund his money and told Igor he had to make the return in the store he purchased it. So the next day, first thing in the morning Baksht returns to the store he’d made the purchase and they too refused to refund him his money.
“He said they cannot do anything about it because they don’t have proof, how it came in, nothing,” said Baksht.
Igor then proceed to visit several store and even called the corporate office with no success. Finally on Christmas Eve the store manager called Igor and let him know the console Baksht had purchased had been previously returned. Apparently nobody bothered to check the contents of the box before putting it out on sale. He was refunded his money.
Sadly such scams are common in walmart.
