Disney seems to have really taken a liking to turning animated movies in to live-action. They’ve already released a Cinderella live action, and a Mulan and Beauty and the Beast have been announced to be in the works. Now Disney has announced that the classic film ‘Winnie The Pooh’ will ALSO be made into a live action version.
Yes, you read that right. Everybody’s favorite yellow, honey loving bear will be coming to live. According to Deadline:
“The focus will be Christopher Robin as an adult, which brings him back to A.A. Milne’s famous bear and the Hundred Acre Wood.”
The site also reports that Alex Ross Perry will helm the project. It seems Disney aims to attract an audience of consisting of not only children: adults who may be more willing to see a kid oriented movie if it’s a live action film. What are your thoughts? Will Disney be able to pull of such films?
