The NBA’s Indiana Pacers will be doing something that the NBA as a whole has been changing this year – they will pay tribute to a famous movie celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The movie: HOOSIERS. The NBA has been allowing flexibility with nicknames on the back of jerseys and also not enforcing shoe colorways on the feet of its players. The Pacers made a deal with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Studios earlier today.
“Our team will be honored to wear the Hickory uniforms because of the attention it will bring to the storied history of Indiana basketball and and the success of that movie,” Pacers’ President of Basketball Operations released in statement. “Hoosiers’ takes us all back to a special place and time.”
