With the release of Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot that releases on August 7th, 20th Century Fox is rumored to be looking towards the future. At least, that’s what ThisIsInfamous is reporting. They have an exclusive which puts the theory out there, Fox is indeed looking towards the future as in the next move for the Fantastic Four. Fox has been catching win of the future’s of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as the DC Comic Universe. Fox would like to at least be “thinking forward”, with the possibility of uniting the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. The name attached at the current moment, or at least, the name that Fox would like have lead the charge into the future: Brian Singer.
While Fox didn’t believe that Josh Trank’s version of the Fantastic Four was the best possible version, they do believe it is good enough to lead into another movie. Here’s where Singer comes in. He would be theoretically finished with X-Men: Apocalypse by late this year or early next, his schedule would be seemingly free. He would be handed the reins for the 2018 “meet-up/team-up” of the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Fox would also like Simon Kinberg to continue on as producer.
