Fan-Made Mashup Takes Rogue One into A New Hope

If you haven’t watched Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, stop reading this now, and go watch it.

I’ll admit it. I wasn’t to keen on watching Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I mean, I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and of course I knew I would watch it. But everything I had heard was that this was a standalone movie that didn’t really fall into the continuity of the main movies. Without Luke and Han and Leia or their parents/offspring, I just didn’t really see the point.

Whoever said this was a standalone story was dead wrong. I think this movie should be mandatory watching for anyone watching the series. Strangely enough, the movie which I had the least interest in seeing of ALL the series, has become my favorite of the series.

Yes, even better than Return of the Jedi.

If you watched the movie and were like me, when watching the last minutes of the Rogue One, you probably jumped up in your seat in shock when you realized that it lead directly into Rogue One. And if you were like me, you probably immediately thought that you were going to go home and watch A New Hope again so you could see how well they actually matched. And… if you were like me, you never did.

Luckily, Vimeo user Barre Fong made this extremely simple for us, by mashing the final scene of Rogue One with the first scenes we see of Leia in A New Hope, and it is AMAZING.

Watch the video below, and enjoy it all, all over again.
