Lionsgate has released an official trailer of its upcoming disaster drama film, Deep Water Horizon. Base on a true event of one of the worst man-made environmental disaster in the history, on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20th 2010. Mark Wahlberg played one of the hero emerged from this disaster, Mike Williams. An explosion on a deep-sea drilling owned by Transocean. At the time of explosion there were 126 crew on board, seven were employers of BP, 76 were employed by Transocean and the rest Anardako, Halliburton and M-I SWACO. 11 workers were presumed death at the first explosion. The rest was air lifted and evacuated. The oil rig sank 36 hours later. Numerous attempt to cap the oil spill to the ocean had failed. It took 5 months before it was declared permanently sealed. During the final phase of the drilling, a geyser of seawater erupted from the marine riser onto the rig. Shooting 240 ft(73 m) into the air.It was follow by a mixed of methane gas, mud and water. It was the gas part of this slushy mixed that resulted in a series of explosion and firestorm. BP the main culprit settled at $18.5 billion last year and Halliburton settled for $1.1 billion. Despite what seems to be a huge amount of fine, scientists believed we had yet to experience the full impact of this biggest environmental disaster upon planet earth. There was an award-winning documentary titled The Great Invisible about this incident. Deepwater Horizon story focus on the courage and survival of the heroic workers of the event. Other cast include Kate Hudson, Kurt Russell and Dylan O’Brien. Deepwater Horizon open in theatres on September 30th.
