Marvel Cinematic Universe train is chugging along. With Guardian Of The Galaxy 2 filming wrapped up recently, Spider-Man Homecoming began shooting last month, Thor Ragnarok is now rolling the camera in Australia. While Thor Ragnarok is the third installment of the movie franchise, it also has a new director behind the camera. Taika Waititi (What We Do In The Shadows, Hunting For Wilder People), It should be interesting to see how his sense of humor, character centric and penchant for timing translate to Marvel Universe. There’s no official synopsis for the film yet. You can speculate base on the cast. Chris Hemsworth reprise his role of Thor as are Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba returning to their respective roles. Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk/Bruce Banner also co-star in this film along with new villain Hela played by Cate Blanchett, a powerful villain that ruled the northernmost realms of the dead. Another villain Skurge played by Karl Urban will feature in the film. And then we have Tess Thompson playing Valkyrie the leader of Valkyrior of Valhallal. Jeff Goldblum will play the character of Grandmaster, the oldest livings being in the universe who can travel through space, time and dimensions. His character will also figure prominently in Avengers: Infinity War, hence the Thor tie in to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. The filming of Thor Ragnarok will continue through October. The film is set to released on November 3rd 2017 following the released of Spider-Man Homecoming on July 7th 2017.
