Every Power Man needs an Iron Fist!
Finally, Danny Rand is heading to Netflix! Comic’s fans will remember before Jessica Jones, Luke Cage was known as Power Man, and with his pal Iron Fist, they were Heroes for Hire! Sure, things may have changed in the comics since then, and it’s amazing that we finally got to see Luke Cage portrayed in live action, but it will be great to finally see the him teamed up with his old partner.
Don’t get too excited, it’s not happening now. But it’s coming when we finally get to see the duo together (along with Jessica Jones and Daredevil) in The Defenders. First we need to see Iron Fist’s origin in his own series.
For those that have been watching, Daredevil has been an amazing series. We can all forget the Ben Affleck disaster now. Jessica Jones was a bit boring until Doctor Who… I mean, the Purple Man showed up. I was expecting to be a bit bored with Luke Cage after Jessica Jones, and boy was I wrong.
Reading the synopsis of Iron Fist has me worried.
Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.
Anyone else think this sounds remarkably like Arrow? Yeah. I thought so. Well, at least the trailer looks good.
